Noor Academy began in 2018 when three families, unable to find patient, qualified Qur'an teachers nearby, started pooling online tutors for their children. Six years later, we teach students across 14 countries.

We believe every student deserves a teacher who is patient, qualified, and genuinely invested in their progress — regardless of where they live or what their starting level is.

That means rigorous vetting on our end, so families never have to gamble on quality. Every teacher is Ijazah-certified, background-checked, and reviewed continuously — not just at hiring.

We keep classes one-on-one because Qur'an learning isn't one-size-fits-all. A shy 6-year-old and a busy working adult need very different pacing, and a real teacher adjusts — a recorded course can't.

How we vet every teacher

Fewer than 1 in 10 applicants make it through our screening process. We verify Ijazah chains directly with issuing institutions, run background checks, and require every teacher to complete a supervised trial term before taking on students independently.

After that, session quality is reviewed on an ongoing basis through parent feedback and periodic recorded sessions (with consent), so standards don't slip after hiring.
